The main boat-trip excursions are to the Russian settlements of Barentsburg and Pyram-
iden, with shorter trips to nearby bird cliffs and glacier tongues.

MS Polargirl
to Barentsburg and the Esmark Glacier
(Nkr1300, eight to 10 hours) four times a week, and to Pyramiden and Nordenskjöldbreen
(Nkr1300, eight to 10 hours); prices include a lunch cooked on board. On Fridays, it also
organises five-hour trips to the Borebreen glacier (Nkr900).

(Nkr1550). En route, they tend to sail closer to shore than other companies, rather than
sailing down the middle of the fjord. It also runs six-hour Friday-evening trips to Bore gla-
