Run out of Engholm Husky Design Lodge by Sven Engholm's daughter Liv, this fine outfit
offers a year-round range of activities, from four- to six-hour cross-country skiing excur-
sions (per person Nkr950) to 24-hour 'Scout-for-a-day' experiences (Nkr1900).
Ássebákti Cultural & Nature Trail WALKING
(signed 'Kulturminner' on the highway)
On the Rv92, 12km south of Karasjok heading for Kautokeino, this 3.5km trail (signed
'Kulturminner' on the highway) is well worth undertaking for a taste of the forest, even
though, despite its name, it doesn't actually have much that's cultural. This said, around 25
minutes out (allow two hours for the full out-and-back route), there are traces of trappers'
pits, store mounds and, across the river, turf huts.
