Sund Fiskerimuseum MUSEUM
( www.sundfiskerimuseum.no ; adult/child Nkr80/10; 10am-4pm or 6pm mid-May-Aug)
This fishery museum lies in the village of Sund, 3km off the E10 south of Ramberg. In one
dim shack, there's an astounding clutter of boats, ropes and floats while within another is
an unlabelled yet fascinating jumble of pots and pans, skis, old valve radios and the like.
Tor-Vegard Mørkved, the young resident blacksmith, bashes out cormorants in iron.
Glasshytta GALLERY
( 76 09 44 42; 10am-7pm May-Aug)
A 4km side trip from the E10 at Vareid, north of Flakstad, brings you to Vikten and the
gallery of glassblower Åsvar Tangrand. Tangrand is the designer of the Lofoten Rune, the
region's seven-pronged logo evoking a longboat, which you'll see all around the islands.

Ramberg Gjestegård CAMPGROUND
( 76 09 35 00; www.ramberg-gjestegard.no ; E10; car/caravan site Nkr170/200, cabin Nkr950-1400)
At this welcoming campground, right on the beach, you can rent a bike, kayak, rowing
boat or even a motorboat to explore the island. There's a justifiably popular Arctic Menu
restaurant (mains Nkr220-295) that does mainly fish dishes and its own splendid Flakstad
Menu (cod, cured roast lamb and rhubarb compote for dessert). It also offers cheaper lunch
specials.
