A couple of inlets and 3km west of Kabelvåg, there are a pair of great campgrounds, right
beside each other.

This shoreside campground has its own small beach. It rents motorboats (from Nkr220 per
hour) and is a base for sea-kayak trips. The camping area is significantly larger than its
neighbour's.

Less than 1km north of the centre, the Lofoten Folkehøgskole school becomes a hostel and
hotel outside the teaching year. There's a kitchen for guest use. Hostel rooms have one,
two or four beds.

On a small rise close to the centre of Kabelvåg, this imposing seasonal hotel has been
tastefully rebuilt in its original art deco style. Rooms overlook either the port or moun-
tains. It also functions as a centre for skiing and a host of other winter activities.
