Getting There & Around
From Svolvær's small airport there are up to six flights daily to Bodø.
Svolvær is a stop on the Hurtigruten coastal ferry ( GOOGLE MAP ) . Two other sea
routes connect Svolvær to the mainland. For timetables and reservations, visit

To/from Skutvik (car/foot passenger Nkr325/95, 1¾ to 2¼ hours, up to 10 daily) The
shortest, most popular crossing (from Skutvik you can connect by bus with Narvik).
To/from Bodø (Nkr366/183, 3½ hours) Daily express passenger boat calling by Skutvik
(one hour).
Useful bus routes include the following:
Bus 8 To/from Sortland on Vesterålen (2¼ hours, three to five times daily), via Stok-
marknes (1¾ hours).
Bus 9 To/from Leknes (1½ hours, four to six times daily), with connections to Å (3½
hours).
Lofotekspressen To/from Narvik (4¼ hours, twice daily).
