In-Depth Information
The Good Neighbour, dark and cavernous within, and nominated more than once as Nor-
way's best pub, enjoys a prime riverside location. Indeed, part of it is on the water; reserve
a table on the floating pontoon. There's a reproduction Wurlitzer jukebox; US visitors will
find Sam Adams on tap while UK ale connoisseurs can savour Shepherd Neame's Bishop's
Finger in the bottle.
Trondheim Microbryggeri
PUB
This splendid home-brew pub deserves a pilgrimage as reverential as anything accorded to
St Olav from all committed
øl
(beer) quaffers. With up to eight of its own brews on tap and
good light meals coming from the kitchen, it's a place to linger, nibble and tipple. It's down
a short lane, just off Prinsens gate.
Dromedar Kaffebar
CAFE
This longstanding local self-service coffee favourite serves what could be Trondheim's
best coffee indeed, in all sizes, squeezes and strengths. Inside is cramped so, if the weather
permits, relax on the exterior terrace bordering the cobbled street. There's a second
that serves equally aromatic coffee, with further branches elsewhere around town.

Join the throng that packs both the interior and dockside terrace of this popular place over

for preparing what many believe to be the finest pizzas in town, including the intriguing
chili bollocks
(presumably a wintertime special).
