Fairytale Cupcakes
NORWEGIAN, INTERNATIONAL
meals from Nk159, 1/4/6 cupcakes Nkr39/150/210; 10am-6pm Mon-Sat)
Cupcakes seemed to be such a passing fad that we didn't expect this place to last the dis-
tance. But, thankfully, we were wrong. Their survival has everything to do with a perfectly
manicured space, some of Trondheim's best
smørbrød
(open sandwiches) and, yes, cup-
cakes galore. Long may they continue.
Jordbær Pikene
CAFE
gate; mains Nkr129-179; 9am-8pm Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm Sat)
'Strawberry Girls' serves up pasta, salads and sandwiches in an informal, congenial setting.
It's good for juices, too. You won't find anything particularly original, but you will enjoy
decent, reliable, well-priced cooking.
Café ni Muser
CAFE
11am-11pm)
For inexpensive light meals and an arty crowd, go to the cafe at the Trondheim Kunstmu-
seum. On sunny afternoons, the outdoor terrace turns into a beer garden.
Persilleriet
VEGETARIAN
11am-7pm Mon-Fri, 2-6pm Sat; )
This tiny, lunchtime-only box of a place does tasty vegetarian fare, to eat in or take away.
The menu changes regularly and the cuisine is eclectic. On any day it may include, for ex-
ample, elements of Thai, Middle Eastern or Mexican dishes.
