; 2hr tour incl rental Nkr300-400)
A fine way to get an alternative perspective on Trondheim, these kayak tours paddle from
where the Nidelven River meets the fjord and then right through the old town. Prices vary
with the number of people.
Skiing
The Vassfjellet mountains, south of town, offer both downhill and cross-country skiing. In
season, a daily ski bus runs directly from Munkegata to the Vassfjellet Skisenter, only 8km
beyond the city limits. The Bymarka also offers good cross-country skiing, as does the
Trondheim Skisenter Granåsen, where the brave or foolhardy can launch themselves from
the world's largest plastic-surfaced ski jump.
