This hostel and campground is an easy 20-minute walk from the centre. It's a friendly
place, and the motel has a well-equipped kitchen, TVs in the rooms and a big screen in the
lounge for sporting events. Camping facilities have recently been fully renovated and the
furnished apartments are a great deal for small groups.
Dala Bergan

Out along Dalaveien, these cabins are only a 10-minute walk from the centre, although
they have a rustic seaside location. All have bathrooms, TVs and, sweetly, sun bathing
platforms. Bed linen can be hired.
Thon Hotel Kristiansund
HOTEL
Out on Innlandet, this hotel is a good 20 minute walk to the centre, but that could well be a
bonus. The rooms in the converted 1915 warehouse combine this chain's usual clean, mod-
ern lines with historic beams and big windows. There's a great harbourside terrace attached
to the dining room and the views back to the city are fantastic.
