bar faces. Looking out over the fjord, its terrace offers an inspirational panorama. Wines -
reds mainly from Italy, whites from France - have their perfect accompaniment in the
proscuitto platters (Nkr125).

In Toget, the main square near the express ferry terminal, this office is super well stocked
and friendly. Ask for the Nkr95 Molde Fraena (1:50,000), the best hiking map of the area.
Getting There & Away
AIR
Molde's shoreside Årø airport ( 67 03 23 10) is 5km east of the city centre. Local bus 701
(Nkr35, 10 minutes) from Molde's bus terminal passes by the airport at least hourly. There
are up to six planes daily to/from Oslo on SAS and Norwegian; Widerøe has frequent daily
fligths to Bergen and a couple a day to Kristiansund and Trondheim.
BOAT
Northbound, the Hurtigruten coastal ferry leaves at 10pm (6.30pm mid-September to mid-
April); southbound, at 9.30pm. Express ferries also operate from Molde. The express-ferry
terminal is on Torget, the main square.
BUS
Inland buses run hourly to and from Kristiansund (Nkr195, 1½ hours). Much more attract-
ive and scarcely longer is the coastal run that rolls along the Atlanterhavsveien.
Regular buses run to/from Ålesund (Nkr162, 2¼ hours, hourly) and Åndalsnes (Nkr148,
1½ hours, up to eight daily).
