Getting There & Away
BOAT
Every couple of hours a ferry connects Kinsarvik with Utne (per person/vehicle Nkr31/81,
40 minutes) before continuing on to Kvanndal (Nkr41/122, one hour). There's also a daily
tourist boat (passenger only) in summer to Eidfjord, Ulvik and Norheimsund, although it's
more for sightseeing than getting anywhere in a hurry - it stops for three hours in Eidfjord.
BUS
Buses run between Odda (one hour) and Eidfjord (one hour) around five times a day and
pass through Kinsarvik and Lofthus.
Utne
One of the most serene and picturesque villages you'll find in Hardangerfjord, Utne is fam-
ous for its fruit-growing and its pristine traditional streets. It's also the jumping-off point
for one of the region's most enchanting drives.
