Getting There & Away

BUS
Buses stop at the train station, west of the centre. Frequent bus services connect Voss with
Bergen (Nkr163, two hours), Flåm (Nkr143, 1¼ hours) and Sogndal (Nkr299, three
hours), via Gudvangen and Aurland.

TRAIN
The NSB ( GOOGLE MAP ; 56 52 80 00) rail services to/from Bergen (Nkr189, one hour,
hourly) and Oslo (Nkr349 to Nkr829, 5½ to six hours, five daily) connect at Myrdal
(Nkr117, 50 minutes) with the scenic line down to Flåm.

AROUND VOSS

Evangar

This tiny village, just off the highway around 12km west of Voss, has a delightful toy-town
feel, with a tight grid of restored wooden houses and gorgeous setting by a lake. There's
absolutely zip to do here besides relax or maybe go for a languid row, but it makes a bliss-
fully peaceful alternative to Voss during its high-season frenzy.
