Fleischer's Hotel, which opened in its current form in 1889, has a quaint historic charm.
Rooms tend towards old-fashioned rather than authentic, but some have lake views, there's
a swimming pool (with children's pool) and a lavish dining hall. Celebrity guests include
Edvard Grieg, in 1901.

This lakeside annexe of Fleischer's Hotel offers well-equipped self-catering units in an al-
most comically brutal '60s building.

This casual cafe in one of Voss' few original buildings is a long-time favourite with both
travellers and locals. The recent addition of a basement bar means the fun continues until
late most nights. Upstairs, there's a selection of snacky staples - organic beef burgers,
soups, wraps - and a changing daily special, often with an Asian twist.
Beer is care of Voss Bryggeri, one of Norway's best, and there are live acts or DJ sets
downstairs most nights.
