Skyss operates buses and light-rail trams throughout Bergen, its suburbs and into Horda-
land. Single tickets can be used on both buses and light rail. Beyond the centre, prices are
based on distance (Zone 1 to 2, Nkr29 to Nkr41); 10-trip tickets are good value if you're
visiting the composers' museums (Zone 1 to 2, Nkr255). Purchase at the machines at every
tram stop. Bergen Card holders are entitled to free travel within Bergen.
CAR & MOTORCYCLE
Metered parking limited to 30 minutes or two hours applies all over central Bergen. The
largest and cheapest (Nkr130 per 24 hours) indoor car park is the 24-hour Bygarasjen at
the bus terminal; elsewhere you'll pay upwards of Nkr200. The tourist office has two bro-
chures covering where to park in Bergen.

VOSS
Pop 13,902
Voss sits on a sparkling lake not far from the fjords and this position has earned it a world-
renowned reputation as Norway's adventure capital. The town itself is far from pretty:
everyone is here for white-water rafting, bungee jumping and just about anything you can
do from a parasail, most of it out in the fjords.
