In-Depth Information
The only official hotel accommodation in the town centre, with a beautiful location and
oh-yes harbour views, the Risør rests a little on its laurels. Rooms are comfortable, if staid;
those with views don't cost any more, so ask if one's available. It's opposite the aquarium,
500m west of the harbour.
Eating
Around, and just back from, the harbour you'll find several moderately priced cafes and
restaurants.

Getting There & Away
Nettbuss buses to Oslo (Nkr319, 3¼ hours) connect at Vinterkjær with local buses to/from
Risør (Nkr30, 40 minutes). It also has a direct service to Kristiansand (Nkr249, 1¾ hours)
The nearest train station is at Gjerstad, but you'll need your own car to get there (thus
somewhat defeating the point of train travel!).
