TO/FROM OSLO GARDERMOEN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Flybussen ( www.flybussen.no ) is the airport shuttle to Gardermoen International Airport,
50km north of Oslo. It departs from the bus terminal at Galleri Oslo, as well as a few other
stops in the city every 20 minutes from 4am to around 10pm. Times vary a little depending
on the day of the week; see website for a full schedule. The trip costs Nkr160/250 one-
way/return (valid one month) for an adult and Nkr80/160 for a child. The journey takes
about 40 minutes. Flybussekspressen ( www.flybussekspressen.no ) connects Gardermoen
with Majorstuen T-bane station (Nkr205) and other places, one to four times hourly. Buses
run from the city to the airport from around 4am until 8.30pm.
FlyToget ( www.flytoget.no ) rail services leave Gardermoen airport for Oslo S (adult/child
Nkr170/85, 19 minutes) every 10 minutes between 4.40am and midnight. Trains carry on
to the Nationaltheatret and stops south of there, terminating at Drammen. In total contrast
to Norwegian road-traffic speeds, this train pelts along at 210km/h apparently making it
the fastest airport train in the world. In addition, most northbound NSB ( www.nsb.no ) inter-
city and local trains stop at Gardermoen (Nkr90, from 26 minutes, hourly but fewer on
Saturday).
TO/FROM TORP AIRPORT
To get to/from Torp Airport in Sandefjord, 123km southwest of Oslo, take the Torp-Ex-
pressen ( www.torpekspressen.no ; one-way/return adult Nkr220/380, child Nkr110/220) bus
between Galleri Oslo bus terminal and the airport (adult/child Nkr240/120; 1½ hours).
Buses leave Oslo around 3½ hours before check-in closes and they leave Torp around 35
minutes after a flight arrives, but they will wait if a plane is late arriving. NSB trains run
roughly hourly between Oslo S and Torp station (Nkr252). A shuttle bus meets the trains
and takes passengers to the airport (the fee is included in the price of the train ticket).
