which include discounted rates on the use of mountain huts along the main hiking routes.

The main tourist office is located just north of the Rådhus and can provide masses of in-
formation. Look out for its useful Oslo Guide or the monthly What's On in Oslo (both are
available at all tourist offices in and around the city, as well as at many sights and hotels).

The exceptionally helpful and savvy Ungdomsinformasjonen (Youth Information Office,
better known as Use-It) is aimed at, but not restricted to, backpackers under the age of 26.
It makes (free) bookings for inexpensive or private accommodation and provides informa-
tion on anything from current events to hitching possibilities.
Getting There & Away
AIR
Oslo Gardermoen International Airport ( www.osl.no ) has a motorway and high-speed
rail link to the city centre.
Numerous domestic flights also go in and out of Gardermoen.
KLM, Widerøe, SAS Braathens, Ryanair and other airlines also operate 'Oslo' services
to/from Torp International Airport, some 123km southwest of Oslo, and Rygge Airport,
around 60km southeast of the centre.
