MATHALLEN OSLO
One of the most exciting developments from Oslo's current makeover is the Mathallen
Oslo ( MAP GOOGLE MAP ; www.mathallenoslo.no ; Maridalsveien 17; noon-6pm Tue-Sat, to 5pm
Sun). It's a seriously hip, post-industrial-like food court dedicated to showcasing the very
best of Norwegian regional cuisine, as well as foods from elsewhere. There are dozens of
delis, cafes and miniature restaurants crammed into this space and the surrounding
buildings, and the place buzzes throughout the day. Eating here is a casual affair where
strangers find themselves eating and chatting together. Prices are generally low and qual-
ity high.
