Oslo's Greenwich Village, while always lively and frequented by a well-dressed, youthful
crowd, is especially pleasant in the summer when life spills out onto the pavements from
the numerous cafes, bars and restaurants around Olaf Ryes plass.

There's an old farmhouse feel to this tucked-away little place with its incredibly friendly
staff, exacting attention to detail and low prices (it's Oslo so this last statement is relative!).
At lunchtime the food is mainly wholesome open sandwiches and such, while in the even-
ing there's some fairly imaginative Norwegian dishes.
