visible, and the second two control how they're displayed. The settings appear in a list or table, with group
headings. These are the settings:
Basic: This layout lists a small subset of the build settings, as shown in Figure 12.5. It's not the most use-
ful subset, but it does include some important settings. The list of settings is fixed, so you can't create your
own selection.

Within the basic build settings, the two most useful options are the Compiler Version and the Targeted Device
Family.
All: This layout lists every setting, as shown in Figure 12.6.
Combined: Switches with multiple values appear as embedded menus. You can click a setting to select a
different value.
Levels: This is a complex view that illustrates how the settings cascade through various levels of defaults,
as shown in Figure 12.7. This feature is explained below.
