Accommodation
Finland's not generally a nation of quirky boutique hotels. Solid Nordic comfort in standard
rooms dominates rather than whimsical conversions or new-agey decor. Many accommod-
ation choices open only in summer, usually campsites or converted student residences.
Budget: expect shared bathrooms.
Midrange: private bathroom, good facilities and breakfast buffet included.
Top end: business class or five-star facilities.
