Hetta's big festival is held over three days around the feast day of the Annunciation (late
March); there are Sámi dances and parties, and the town buzzes with a lot of activity.

In the centre of town, but set back in its own garden away from the road, this welcoming
pad offers two types of accommodation in facing buildings: clean and simple guesthouse
rooms sharing bathrooms, and very handsome and spacious wood-clad hotel rooms, some
sleeping six, with pleasing bathrooms and pyramid-shaped skylights. It's an excellent deal
that includes good breakfast and sauna.

Just near the junction of the westbound and northbound roads 2km from the town centre,
this has grassy tent pitches and smart painted wooden cabins and cottages. The latter come
with kitchen, sauna and a loft sleeping area, and even a hanging flowerpot. There are vari-
ous discounts and activities on offer.
