These perspex igloos with kitchenette and bathroom are on the side of the fell. The beds
are motorised so you move around while skywatching. Once you're paying these out-
rageous prices, you might as well upgrade to the premium ones in the front row. There's
also a luxury house with large apartment suites.

Most eating and drinking options centre on the big hotels, which have multiple bars, res-
taurants and nightclubs. Most open only during the ski season and the autumn

The atmospherically candlelit downstairs Kellari restaurant does very tasty Lappish meals;
meat dishes are stronger than fish. The Lapland tapas plate has some standout flavours.
Upstairs, pints of homebrew and a terrace that catches the evening sun are reasons to
linger.

Behind the tepee-like building on the roundabout in the centre of the resort. The main ac-
commodation booking agency is also here, and staff can book activities such as snowmo-
bile safaris, dog-sled treks and reindeer rides.
Getting There & Around
Levi is on Rd 79, 170km north of Rovaniemi. All buses from Rovaniemi to Kittilä contin-
ue on to here, some continuing to Muonio. A bus meets all incoming flights at Kittilä air-
port, 15km to the south.
