The 'Dead-End Tunnel' may be a road to nowhere but it's a most enjoyable one, with a
huge terrace, plenty of drunken locals adding entertainment value on weekends, and large
plates of food, from creamy pastas to steaks and Tex-Mex. There are often live bands.

Finnish hours, though it's technically in Sweden.
Getting There & Away
Kemi-Tornio airport is 18km east of town, and there are regular flights to/from Helsinki.
Buses drop off a kilometre away, or it's a €35 taxi.
From the shared Tornio-Haparanda bus station, there are a couple of direct services to
Rovaniemi, but you usually must change (to bus or train) in Kemi (€6.80, 35 minutes,
more than hourly, less on weekends). Swedish buses run to Luleå, from where buses and
trains run to other Swedish destinations.
