Most of the houses in Skata were originally occupied by sailors. While the 18th-century
houses along Hamngatan are the oldest, the prettiest street is Norrmalmsgatan, with a stun-
ning clock tower bridging the street.
The Gamla Hamn (Old Harbour) has a child-friendly swimming beach.
