Just 1.5km southwest of the town centre, this small, friendly campground has its own
beach, and bikes for hire. Cabins share bathrooms but all come with kitchenettes. Linen
costs €5 per person.

Hotel Leila hosts the reception for both its own attractive rooms and the atmospheric,

From Kristinestad's centre, it's a 3km drive south to the tiny island of Högholmen where,
beyond a picturesque patch of woodland, you'll find this fairy-tale eggshell-blue wooden
summer pavilion with a terrace overlooking an idyllic little boat-filled harbour. Exquisite
dishes include forest mushroom soup, baked perch with blueberry Dijon mustard,
blackcurrant-marinaded chicken with liquorice sauce, and seabuckthorn and cranberry par-
fait.
