Topped by flamboyant turrets, this fairy-tale Jugend-style castle was built in 1903 to re-
place the buildings that had hosted Russian aristocracy after the original wooden structures
burnt down. Some of the castle's art nouveau-furnished rooms overlook the rapids. The
adjacent modern spa centre's contemporary chocolate- and cream-coloured rooms are styl-
ish and spacious but lack their neighbour's grandeur.
