With an arty crowd and bohemian feel, Runo (Poem) is an elegant, almost baroque cafe
with books, paintings, decent coffee and huge windows that allow you to keep tabs on the
weather. It's a top hang-out for either a light lunch or a spot of quiet contemplation.

This intriguing indoor market is one of Finland's best, with picturesque wooden stalls
serving a dazzling array of wonderful meat, fruit, baked goodies and fish. There are good
places to eat here too; this is the best place to try cheap mustamakkara with berry jam.
Panimoravintola Plevna BREWPUB

Inside the Finlayson Centre, this barn of a place offers a wide range of delicious beer, cider
and perry brewed here, including an excellent strong stout. Meals are large and designed to
soak it all up: massive sausage platters and enormous slabs of pork in classic beer-hall
style. Vegetables here mean potatoes and onions, preferably fried, but it's all tasty, and ser-
vice is fast.

This quaint little place does a range of sweet delights, but specialises in fresh waffles,
which come laden with cream and chocolate. There's also a range of unusual savoury
