Elegant and welcoming, this family-run hotel has spacious, mostly ground-floor rooms
with anti-allergen bedding and an excellent restaurant (pizzas €11 to €14, mains €19 to
€32; open 4pm to 10pm March to November). Owner/chef Ronald Karlsson also famously
moonlights as Elvis during summer Saturday-night tribute shows.

Several of the 20 individually decorated rooms at this quirky retro hotel have sea views
that, unusually, don't come with a higher price tag. Upstairs is a brand-new sauna, and
there's a good à la carte summer restaurant (mains €22 to €32; open 6pm to 9pm Monday
to Saturday mid-June to early August).

Right on the pier, this atmospheric little place is perfect for a drink while watching the sun
set over the red creaking boathouses. But above all it's worth a visit for its food: marinated
salmon with mustard sauce and potatoes, grilled black Angus steak, and an 'archipelago
plate' of smoked salmon, herring,
skägen
(prawn toast), local cheese and black bread.

With tables spilling into the courtyard of the historic Post och Tullhuset, Tsarevna is a
much-loved venue for spectacular homemade cakes, pulled-pork sandwiches and bountiful
organic salads with homebaked bread. From June, brunch (€17) on Saturdays and Sundays
from 11am to 3pm is a local institution. Cash only.
