Boasting excellent service and extremely comfortable beds, this central, independent
design hotel has a theme of Kalevala quotes throughout, and easy-on-the-eye space-con-
scious architecture. A range of slick new 'Sky Loft' rooms offer a more modern feel; some
come with balconies. A host of amenities ease the stay, but the best bit is the fabulous
breakfasts.
The morning spread features all sorts of original and tasty morsels sourced from small
Finnish producers.

There are no starched suits at reception at this laid-back designer joint, and the relaxed at-
mosphere continues through the comfortably modish public areas to the rooms. Beds: ex-
ceptionally inviting. Facilities: top notch and mostly free. Location: on a pedestrian street
in the heart of town. Cute extra: a stuffed tiger toy atop the covers.
Online prices are best; if there's not much difference between the standard and the
standard XL, go for the latter as you get quite a bit more space.
