Comparison of Materials and Construction Methods
When, in a given region, similar materials are used in the composition of road
surfaces, and the construction method is also similar, it can be expected that roughly
similar reflection properties will be obtained for all roads in that region. It follows,
therefore, that once the class and Q o value of just some of the roads in the area have
been determined by measurement, the same class and Q o value can be used for all
the roads in that region. This is, in fact, the common practice.
