pots. The most frequently used seedlings in stabilization of dunes are as follows:
Haloxylon spp. Ta m a r i x spp., Zygophyllum eurypterum , Stipagrostis pennuata ,
Calligonum spp., Calotropis procera , Atriplex spp., Acacia spp., Prosopis spicigera ,
Nitraria schoberi and Panicum spp. Dunes can be stabilized by a combination
of biological methods involving planting shrubs and grasses inside small areas
protected by pallisades (Figs. 17.8 and 17.9 ).
