measurement of tracer concentrations, esti-
mation of tracer input, and assumptions about
water and tracer transport processes are the
most important limitations on the use of trac-
ers to estimate recharge rates (Scanlon,
2000
).
Where possible, multiple tracers should be
used to better constrain recharge estimates and
reduce uncertainties.
