Confirm that the radio button next to Use the Following IP Address is selected.

Confirm that the appropriate configuration information is present in the IP Address,
Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway text boxes.

Click Close when you're finished.
To confirm that your computer is configured to receive its IP address from a DHCP server,
do the following:
1.
Open the Network Connections applet.
2.
Double-click on the Local Area Connection icon.
3.
Click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), and select Properties.
4.
Confirm that the radio button next to Obtain an IP Address Automatically is selected.
5.
Click on the Support tab. In the Connection Status section, confirm that the Address
Type is listed as Assigned by DHCP. Confirm that the assigned IP Address, Subnet Mask,
and Default Gateway are valid for the local network.
6.
Click Close when you're finished.
Using a Command-Line Interface
The following command displays your current IP configuration:
> ipconfig /all
