On the Group Configuration Method screen, select the Custom radio button. Enter a
descriptive name for the group in the Group Name text box. Then click Next.

On the Add Servers screen, click Add to configure a new server as a member of this
server group. The Add RADIUS Server dialog box will appear.

On the Address tab, enter the FQDN or IP address of the remote RADIUS server in the
Server text box. Click Verify to make sure that the IAS server can access the remote host.

On the Authentication/Accounting tab, you can modify any of the following settings:
￿ Authentication port
￿ Shared secret used for authentication
￿Accounting port
￿ Shared secret used for accounting (or specify that the same shared secret should be
used for both)
￿ Forward network access server Start and Stop notifications to this server

On the Load Balancing tab, you can modify any of the following settings:
￿ The Priority setting, which indicates the status of a RADIUS server (a primary server
has a priority of 1)
￿ The Weight setting, which calculates how often connection requests are sent to this
server versus other servers in the same group
￿ Number of seconds without response before a request is considered dropped
(defaults to 3)
￿ Maximum number of dropped requests before server is identified as unavailable
(defaults to 5)
￿ Number of seconds between requests when server is identified as unavailable
(defaults to 30)

Click OK when you've finished configuring group settings.

To add an additional server, click Add again. Click Next when you've added all the
necessary server entries.
Note In step 11, you can also delete a server from the server group by clicking Remove or change the
settings of a server you've already added by clicking Properties.

Click Finish to complete the creation of this server group. By default, there is a check
mark next to Start the New Connection Request Policy Wizard when this wizard closes.
