Solution
1.
Start the Routing and Remote Access Services administrative console from the Admin-
istrative Tools folder in the Start menu, or directly from %systemroot%\system32\
rrasmgmt.msc .
2.
Expand the console tree below the server object until you have selected IP Routing
General.
3.
Right-click the General node and select New Interface.
4.
Select the adapter on which you want this IP interface to run, and click the OK button
to proceed.
At this point you can configure general settings, the method of IP address allocation, the
multicast boundaries, or a multicast heartbeat.
To configure general settings, follow these steps:
1.
Select the General tab.
2.
Check the IP Router Manager check box in the General tab to enable the interface.
3.
Check the Router Discovery Advertisements check box if you want to enable ICMP
router discovery advertisements on this interface. If you enable this option, you must
also set the following options:
￿ Advertisement Lifetime, specified in minutes
￿ Level of Preference
￿ Minimum Time Interval, specified in minutes, for advertisements to be sent
￿ Maximum Time Interval, specified in minutes, for advertisements to be sent
