Solution
1.
Start the Routing and Remote Access Services administrative console from the Admin-
istrative Tools folder in the Start menu, or directly from
%systemroot%\system32\
rrasmgmt.msc
.

If your server is not already listed in the console, add it by right-clicking Routing and
Remote Access in the left pane and selecting Add Server. Select the first option, This
Computer.

Note
If you are enabling Routing and Remote Access Services on a remote server, you can add those
servers to this console by selecting The Following Computer, All Routing and Remote Access Servers, or
Browse Active Directory, rather than selecting the This Computer option.

If Routing and Remote Access Services are not yet enabled and configured on your
server, right-click on the server name in the left pane, and select Configure and Enable
Routing and Remote Access.

If Routing and Remote Access Services has already been enabled and configured, expand the tree
beneath the server name. Right-click Network Interfaces, select New Demand-Dial Interface, and proceed to
step 10.

Click the Next button after the Routing and Remote Access Server Setup Wizard starts.

Select the option for Secure Connection Between Two Private Networks and click the
Next button.
6.
Select Yes to enable demand-dial connections and click the Next button.
7.
Select whether you want to use DHCP to provide addresses to remote clients or whether
you want to configure a static pool of addresses, and click the Next button to proceed.
8.
If you chose to use a static pool of addresses, configure the pool now and click the
Next button.
9.
Click Finish to complete the first phase of the wizard.
10.
Click the Next button when the Demand-Dial Interface Wizard automatically starts.
11.
In the Interface Name window, enter a convenient name for the interface. A good selection
may be the name of the company or organization to which you are connecting. Click
the Next button to proceed.
