4-8. Configuring the Logging Level
Problem
You want to configure the level of logging detail for RRAS events.
Solution
Using a Graphical User Interface
1.
Start the Routing and Remote Access Services administrative console
from the Administrative Tools folder in the Start menu, or directly from
%systemroot%\system32\rrasmgmt.msc .
2.
Right-click the name of the RRAS server that you want to manage in the left pane, select
Properties, and then click the Logging tab.
3.
Select the level of logging that you want to configure. These are the options:
￿ Log Errors Only
￿ Log Errors and Warnings (Default)
￿ Log All Events
￿Do Not Log Any Events
4.
Select the check box to Log Additional Routing and Remote Access Information if you
want to log all RRAS details and events. This is most useful for debugging purposes.
5.
Click OK when complete.
6.
Select the Remote Access Logging folder in the left pane.
