5. Click on Next and review the definition.
6. Click on Finish .
Now that the properties have been set for the time dimension, you can add time in-
telligence to the cube. This is something that can be done either manually or by us-
ing the Add Business Intelligence wizard. To perform it using the wizard, follow the
next set of instructions:
1. Double-click on the Adventure Works DW2012.cube cube in the Solution
Explorer .
2. Click on the Add Business Intelligence button.
3. Click on Next and choose the Define time intelligence option and click on
Next .
4. Specify that you wish to use Order Date\Hierarchy as the hierarchy for the
time calculations.
5. Select the following calculations:
• Year to Date
• Twelve Month Moving Average
• Year Over Year Growth%
6. Click on Next , select that you want the calculations to be defined on Sales
Amount and Sales Amount-Fact Reseller Sales measures.
