Sets
A set is a list of tuples specified with a comma between and enclosed in braces. The
list is ordered, which means that you control the result set by specifying the order of
the tuples. Consider the following query:
--Query 5.13
SELECT [Measures].[Sales Amount] ON 0,
{[Product].[Product Hierarchy].[Product
Category].&[1],
[Product].[Product Hierarchy].[Product
Category].&[3],
[Product].[Product Hierarchy].[All],
[Product].[Product Hierarchy].[Product
Category].&[4]} ON 1
FROM [Adventure Works DW2012];
In this case, you specify a set that returns the following result set:
The
All
member in the product hierarchy dimension is specified as the third member
in the set, and then the
Accessories
member is specified after this.
Note
The
All
member is a system generated member that exists in every dimension,
and contains the aggregated value of all the members in the dimension.
