Chapter 2
Designing Roads
Now that you have familiarized yourself with
Autodesk ® Roadway Design for InfraWorks
360™, it's time to start putting the tools to use.
As you have learned, these tools approach
roadway design from an engineer's or
designer's perspective, employing concepts that
are consistent with the geometry and editing
practices used for engineered roads. In this
chapter, you will use those tools to begin
building the Bimsville Bypass as well as the
local roads that serve the industrial park.
In this chapter, you'll learn to
• Create roads using the Intelligent Tools
• Understand and utilize various asset cards
• Edit roads graphically using gizmos
• Edit roads using context menus
• Divide roads into zones and vary the styles,
lanes, and roadside grading
• View and edit a road in profile view
• Design and edit intersections
