Exercise 2.8: Design an Intersection
In this exercise you are going to configure an
intersection within the industrial park. You will
design the intersection to accompany large
tractor-trailers, and you will provide a turning
lane to help with the flow of traffic.
If you are continuing from the previous
exercise, you can skip to step 3. Otherwise, if
you haven't already done so, go to the topic's
web page at www.sybex.com/go/
roadwayessentials and download the files for
Chapter 2. Unzip the files to the correct location
on your hard drive according to the instructions
in the introduction.
1. If it is not already open, launch InfraWorks
360.
2. On the Start Page, click Open and browse to
C:\InfraWorks Roadway
Essentials\Chapter 02\ . Click Ch02
Bimsville Roads.sqlite and click
Open.
3. Select the Ex_2_8 proposal.
4. Restore the bookmark named Intersection.
5. Click the intersection to open the
Intersection asset card. If the Design Vehicle
section of the Intersection asset card is not
visible, right-click and select Edit.
6. For Design Vehicle, scroll to the right and
click WB-67 (WB-20 for metric users).
