found to be 0.63, 0.77, 0.97, and 1.11, respectively. The integrated
ratio of these two signals in the
1
H NMR spectrum of the product
obtained using PC-4 was 0.65, which was in good agreement with
the calculated value. However, that of the product obtained using
PC-8 (0.55) was slightly smaller than the calculated value. However,
the values of the products obtained using PC-10 and PC-12 were
0.23 and 0.20, respectively, which were obviously lower than the
calculated values. The guest polycarbonates having longer methylene
chain lengths were probably aggregated in the aqueous bufer/
acetone mixed solvent, and accordingly, separated from the cavity of
amylose, causing the difficulty of complex formation.
