Toggling the layer off and on will show us the difference we have made to the floor
reflections. It is a reasonably subtle boost for the moment, but keep in mind that we
will be adding a final color correction at the end of the editing process that will also
affect the look of our final reflections. Of course, you can feel free to adjust the re-
flection levels here so as to suit your own particular preference.
To keep our main AE composition neat and tidy, one of the things I like to do is separ-
ate out major edits by adding them to their own pre-comp. To do that, we can simply
perform the following steps:
1. Control click to select all three current layers, right-click on them, and then
choose the Pre compose option from the pop-up menu.
2. In the dialog box that appears, call this particular pre-comp Reflections Ad-
justment ; then, click on OK .
3. At this point, I think saving another iteration of our After Effects project would
be in order, so let's use the Save As command from the File menu and call
this version Chap10_AE_03.aep .
