In-Depth Information
As soon as our render has finished, let's go ahead and save the new GI maps that
we have just calculated, as these can now quite happily be used for the final render
that we will take in just a little while. To do that, let's go back into the Irradiance map
rollout and perform the following step:
1. In the Current map section, click on the Save button to save the newly cal-
culated Irradiance map to disk.
In my case, I will save it in the Chapter_09 folder under Exercise_Files
| Model_Files as High_Quality_with_Materials.vrmap .
2. Next, we need to repeat these steps in the Light cache rollout that makes
exactly the same UI controls available to us, saving the light cache as
High_Quality_with_Materials.vrlmap .
Reviewing what we have in the RGB map
Now, its time to go ahead and analyze the information that our render has given us,
starting first of all with the actual RGB render channel. Here, we see that although
things are heading very much in the right direction quality-wise, there are still a num-
ber of issues that are present in the image that could do with our attention.
