between local shadow samples and the main image sampler options. To do this, we
need to perform the following steps:
1. Click on the Orthographic Front scene tab and then right-click on the Dome
light to open up the light editor.
2. In the Shadow section of the Dome light controls, we can then set the Sub-
divs value to 24 , allowing V-Ray to use a possible 576 samples per pixel for
shadow creation.
3. Finally, click on OK to lock the settings in place and then return to the Wide
Shot - 35mm scene tab and hit the render button.
While what this gives us still looks a little rough, the addition of GI and improved
image sampling settings to the scene later on should be enough to clean things up
nicely without our render times climbing unnecessarily high.
