4. In the Open Bitmap File browser window, if you are not automatically taken
there, browse to and open the ChaosGroupTextureCache folder.
5. From
the
folder,
select
the
ChaosGroupTextureCache
Tile_Hexagon_White_extractedTex.jpg file and click on Open .
6. Finally, click on OK to exit the texture editor.
Before we take another render and compare it with our previous effort, let's speed up
our test renders a little by making use of the V-Ray frame buffer's region render tool.
From the tool icons along the top of the frame buffer window, simply click to enable
the tool as shown in the following screenshot:
What we can do now (inside the frame buffer window) is left-click and drag to draw a
render region around only the portion of the image that we wish to re-render: in this
case, just the floor. Once ready, we can click on the render icon on the V-Ray toolbar.
Once rendering is completed, we can once again open up the Render history win-
dow, and to make a simple A/B comparison, all we need to do is simply left-click to
select our previously saved render in the history list, click on the A channel button on
the history window toolbar, and instantly our V-Ray frame buffer window is divided
into two halves with our previous render sitting on the left and our current render on
the right. (I would recommend that you first save your newly created render to the
history list, just so you know it is saved should anything untoward happen.)
