The None and Linear decay options
The logical starting place would be to highlight which V-Ray for SketchUp light types
give us the ability to turn decay off altogether. Now unfortunately, this is an area of
V-Ray lighting where terminology can get a little bit confusing, especially for the user
who is somewhat new to CG lighting in general. I say this because, strictly speaking,
the only light types in V-Ray that have an explicit option that says "no decay" would
be the rectangle and sphere area lights.
Confusingly, both the Omni and Spot lights also have the ability to enable a no decay
option, it is just called something different. Here, we would need to make use of the
Linear Decay type in order to have no decay applied to these direct light sources.
