In-Depth Information
It is true though that as photography and 3D rendering are both forms of art, the
whole question of which setting gives us the correct exposure could well be de-
scribed as being somewhat subjective. This means anything we set up here should
only be used as a suggested starting point, one that works well for this particular
scene. Indeed, in this case, we will start off using some very middle-of-the-road set-
tings for our exposure as this will hopefully give us quite a bit of flexibility when the
time comes to settle on definite exposure values for use in the final renders.
That said, let's perform the following steps to set the exposure level:
1. In the Option editor, open the Camera rollout.
2. Set the Shutter Speed value to 250 .
3. After that, we can set F Number as 8 .
4. Finally, use a Film Speed or ISO setting of 1200 .
Note
Unlike a real-world camera, we can go as high or low as we want with the ISO
setting in V-Ray as it will never affect the amount of noise or grain present in the
final image.

cameras, you may want to check out this excellent article on the wikihow website
