One extremely helpful tool and a particular favorite of mine is the Photometric
Toolbox that can be freely downloaded from Cooper Industries website at
ht-
As seen in the following screenshot, this toolbox has lots of data options available,
with one particularly useful aspect of the application being the fact that it has an IES
viewer that is capable of giving us both a 2D and a 3D representation of the light
distribution pattern contained in the IES file along with all sorts of data regarding the
likes of lumen and candela output from the file. This makes it extremely useful when
it comes to evaluating which IES profiles we may want to use in a particular scene.
